Who Is LinkGPT For?
LinkGPT is for founders, creators, experts, agencies and online stores that want to show up on Google and in AI answers without paying agency prices. See who it fits and who it doesn't.

Quick answer
LinkGPT is for founders, creators, coaches and experts, agencies and online stores that want to show up on Google and get recommended by ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok. It connects your website, Google Search Console and content to the AI assistant you already use. You ask what to fix in plain words. LinkGPT drafts the fix and makes the change once you approve. It fits best if you publish online but don't have an SEO team.
Most SEO tools are built for SEO people. They give you charts, scores and a long list of problems. They assume someone on your team knows what to do next.
Most small businesses don't have that person. They have a founder who writes the blog on Sunday night. A coach who posts every day and has never opened Search Console. A store owner who wants to know why ChatGPT keeps recommending a competitor.
I built LinkGPT for them. This post covers the five groups it's made for, what each one gets out of it and who should pick something else.
What is LinkGPT?
LinkGPT is an SEO tool that works inside the AI assistant you already use. It brings your search data into Claude, ChatGPT or Muse, so you can ask questions and get answers from your own numbers. Then it fixes what it can, once you say yes.
Here's how it works:
- Connect once. Add your website, Google Search Console and channels like YouTube or LinkedIn. LinkGPT keeps them in sync.
- LinkGPT gives AI a clear source. It publishes your AI Profile: a public page about your business with structured data, an llms.txt and a link back to your site. AI engines can read it and cite it.
- Ask in plain words. "Which pages are stuck on page 2 of Google?" or "Who does ChatGPT recommend instead of us?" Your assistant answers from your real data.
- Approve the fix. The Action Center ranks what to fix first. Say yes and LinkGPT makes the change. For pages on your own site, you get the exact change to paste.
Don't use an AI assistant? Everything, including approving fixes, also works in the LinkGPT dashboard.
Who is LinkGPT built for?
LinkGPT is for people and businesses that publish online and want buyers to find them. In practice, that's five groups.
Founders
Get you and your company named when people ask about your category.
Creators
Get your app, course or template recommended when buyers ask AI.
Coaches & experts
Be the name AI gives when someone asks who can help.
Agencies
Be the agency AI names when a company asks who to hire.

LinkGPT for founders
You built a product. Now people need to hear about it. When someone asks ChatGPT for the best tool in your category, you want your company in the answer.
LinkGPT helps you:
- See which questions about your category mention you, and which name a competitor instead
- See what AI says about your product, and catch what it gets wrong, like an old price
- Find Google searches where a page is close to page 1, so you know what to improve first
- Give AI one clear, current source on what you sell, who it's for and what it costs
Not sure where you stand today? Here's how to check your AI search ranking.
Try asking
Who does AI recommend instead of us? What do their pages say that ours don't?
LinkGPT for creators
You sell an app, a course or a template. Your buyers ask AI things like "best podcasting course" or "best Notion template for students". If AI doesn't know your product, it can't recommend it.
LinkGPT helps you:
- Turn your posts, videos and pages into one AI Profile, kept in sync as you publish
- Feature your newest video or launch on that profile with one request in chat
- Track whether ChatGPT, Perplexity and the others recommend you for the questions your buyers ask
Nothing new to write. LinkGPT works from what you already publish. See LinkGPT for creators for more.
Try asking
Feature my newest YouTube video on my AI Profile.
LinkGPT for coaches & experts
People ask AI who can help them. A dietitian who knows fatty liver disease. A coach for first-time managers. A lawyer who works with startups. AI answers with names, and you want yours to be one of them.
LinkGPT helps you:
- Publish your expertise, who you help and how to book you, in a form AI engines can read
- Add Q&As to your AI Profile for the questions your clients ask most
- See how AI describes you, and fix what it gets wrong
Try asking
Add a Q&A to my AI Profile that answers "[a question your clients ask]".
LinkGPT for agencies
Companies now ask AI who to hire. "Best agency for a Shopify rebrand." "SEO agency for SaaS startups." AI gives a short list. If your agency isn't on it, you never hear about the lead.
LinkGPT helps you:
- Track the "who should we hire" questions in your niche across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Grok
- See which agencies AI names instead, and which sites it cites when it does
- Give AI a clear source on your services, your niche and the work you've published
One LinkGPT account covers one brand, so it's made for your agency's own visibility, not for client accounts.
Try asking
Which sites does AI cite when it recommends agencies like ours? Where should we get mentioned?
LinkGPT for ecommerce
Shoppers ask AI what to buy. "Robot vacuum that mops, too." "Vegan wallet with an AirTag slot." AI answers with products, prices and specs, and links to the store.
If you sell on Shopify, use the LinkGPT Shopify app. It syncs your catalog daily, publishes structured product data and works inside Shopify Sidekick. Ask Sidekick "Is my store showing up in ChatGPT?" and you get your score, the brands AI recommends instead and the sites it cites. Stores on other platforms connect their website to LinkGPT directly.
What do LinkGPT users have in common?
Put the five groups side by side and the pattern is the same. A buyer asks AI a question. AI answers with a few names. LinkGPT gives AI a clear source on you, so it has something to cite when it picks those names.
| You are | Your buyers ask AI | What LinkGPT gives AI to read |
|---|---|---|
| A founder | "Best invoicing app for freelancers" | What your product does, who it's for and what it costs |
| A creator | "Best podcasting course" | Your course, your newest videos and your links |
| A coach or expert | "Dietitian for fatty liver disease" | Your expertise and how to book you |
| An agency | "Best agency for a rebrand" | Your services and the work you've published |
| An online store | "Robot vacuum that mops, too" | Your products, prices and specs |
LinkGPT users also tend to share four things:
- They publish online. A website, a blog, videos or a store. LinkGPT works from what's already there.
- They want buyers from search. On Google and in AI answers, not one or the other.
- They don't have an SEO team. Or they have one person doing ten jobs.
- They're fine asking an AI assistant for help. If not, the dashboard does the same work.
Who is LinkGPT not for?
LinkGPT isn't the right fit for everyone. Pick something else if:
- You want guaranteed rankings. No tool can promise them. LinkGPT finds the openings, helps you act on them and shows what moved.
- You have nothing online yet. LinkGPT works from what you publish. Start with a website or a channel first.
What do you need to get started?
| What you need | Required? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A website or a channel (YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Instagram or TikTok) | Yes | LinkGPT builds your AI Profile from what you publish |
| Google Search Console | Recommended | Your Google rankings, page 2 pages and indexing checks come from it |
| Claude, ChatGPT or Muse | No | It's how you ask questions and approve fixes in chat. The dashboard does the same |
| A Shopify store | No | Shopify stores install the LinkGPT Shopify app instead |
Setup takes a few minutes and starts with a 3-day free trial.
Frequently asked questions
Is LinkGPT only for Shopify stores?
No. LinkGPT works with any website. If you sell on Shopify, install the LinkGPT Shopify app. It syncs your catalog daily and works inside Shopify Sidekick.
Do I need to be technical to use LinkGPT?
No. Connecting your assistant takes one paste. You don't need an assistant at all: everything, including approving fixes, is also in your LinkGPT dashboard.
Which AI assistants does LinkGPT work with?
Claude and ChatGPT on desktop and web (ChatGPT where custom MCP servers are available on your plan), Meta's Muse, and AI agents like OpenAI Dots, Grok Bot and Hermes. It also works in Cursor, Claude Code and any other app that supports MCP.
Is LinkGPT an SEO tool or an AI search tool?
Both. Google rankings and AI answers draw on the same signals: clear pages, the right keywords, structured data and sources that get indexed. LinkGPT tracks and works on both from one connection.
Can agencies use LinkGPT for clients?
One LinkGPT account covers one brand. It's built for getting your own agency named when companies ask AI who to hire.
How much does LinkGPT cost?
$49 a month, or $490 a year, with a free trial. The one plan includes your AI Profile, AI visibility tracking, the Action Center and the connection to your assistant. See pricing for details.
